How do I set up Voxengo SPAN analyzer for mixing?

Q&A

Jan 26, 2026

To set up Voxengo SPAN for mixing, set your block size to 4096 and average time to 1400 in the settings, then change the routing to midside stereo and set the hamburger menu to 'side' so you can monitor both your mono and stereo information simultaneously. I keep this analyzer open on my second monitor at all times because the correlation meter instantly shows me when sounds are phasing or when I have too much stereo information in the low end. I've found that when you see more side signal than mono signal on SPAN, that's a red flag for phasing issues that will kill your mix translation.
