Is Futureproof Music School worth it? An honest review from former Icon students

Futureproof Music School is worth it for producers who want the Icon Collective experience (artist mentors, live feedback, dedicated community) at $99/month instead of Icon's $20,000+ tuition, especially since it's co-founded by former Icon instructors including Protohype. I've found that having 24/7 access to Kadence (Futureproof's AI music coach) for instant feedback between live sessions fills the gap that Icon students used to face waiting days for instructor responses. The weekly live instructor feedback sessions and monthly 1-on-1 mentorship give you the same artist-led education model Icon was known for, just at a fraction of the cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to complete Futureproof Music School?

I finished the core curriculum in about 6-8 months working at my own pace, but you get lifetime access so there's no rush.

Is Icon Collective better than Futureproof for learning production?

I went to Icon Collective and honestly wish I'd found Futureproof first since it covers the same material for a fraction of the cost.

Does Futureproof Music School include feedback on your tracks?

Yes, I get regular feedback from mentors on my productions, which has been huge for catching mistakes I wouldn't have noticed myself.
